In Austin there is a place officially called Hope Outdoor Gallery.
The locals (so I’m told) call it Castle Hill.
Castle Hill is an outdoor graffiti gallery open to the public.
Anyone can come walk around and view the work (some of it is amazing, some of it isn’t) and visitors are encouraged to contribute a little something of their own.
I loved the mixture of real art, street art, tagging. It was completely authentic and unapologetic. It was the space it was meant to be.
The mixture of bright paint colours, natural greenery, crumbling walls and discarded supplies allows for some amazing photos.
